Sensing technology

Thin-film RTD construction is designed for repeatable thermal response

ifm describes a controlled thin-film carrier and probe-tip assembly that keeps the RTD element in consistent contact with the inner sheath wall, reducing thermal mass between the process and sensing element.

Direct response pathControlled sensor placement reduces unnecessary thermal resistance.
No mechanical switchElectronic measurement avoids the drift/sticking behaviour of traditional mechanical temperature switches.
Rotatable bodyThe housing can be aligned after the sensor is mounted so the display is easy to read.
Minimum immersionifm recommends at least 12 mm insertion into the medium for best performance.
