Positive and negative ion generation

Two ionisation heads allow production and controlled mixing of positive and negative ions.

Neutralisation or targeted charging

The EAN 581 can establish a controlled bipolar charge distribution or provide unipolar-positive or unipolar-negative charging.

Non-radioactive operation

The corona-discharge principle does not use an ionising-radiation source and therefore does not require occupational radiation-protection handling.

Integrated spark detection

Built-in monitoring supports safe operation of the high-voltage ionisation system.

High-flow aerosol conditioning

The mixing chamber supports aerosol flows up to 250 L/min, with particle-free dry compressed air supplied to the ionisation heads.

Test-system integration

The separate control unit and compact mixing chamber can be incorporated into filter, separator and aerosol research systems.
