SLG 270 Condensation Aerosol Generator
Sinclair–LaMer condensation aerosol generator for reproducible monodisperse droplet or solid aerosols, with rapidly adjustable particle size and concentration and a patented screen-bypass unit for extended large-particle generation.
Model Overview
| Model | Group | Positioning | Core fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| SLG 270 | Monodisperse condensation aerosol generator | Sinclair–LaMer system with screen-bypass control for rapid adjustment of particle size and concentration | Instrument calibration, aerosol research, filter testing, tracer-particle and seeding applications |
Key Features
Adjustable monodisperse aerosol
Generates narrowly distributed particles with geometric standard deviation below 1.15 and high number concentration.
Patented screen-bypass unit
Reduces the salt-nuclei concentration and extends the achievable range toward larger particle sizes, including DEHS droplets up to 8 µm.
Rapid reproducible adjustment
Particle size is adjusted through controlled flow and temperature settings without lengthy changes to the complete operating state.
Droplet or solid particles
Supports DEHS, carnauba wax, stearic acid and other tested materials, producing spherical particles that are electrically nearly neutral.
