Key Features

100 LPM cascade impaction for viable particle collection

Cascade impaction at 100 LPM deposits viable microorganisms (bacteria, fungi) from the sampled air onto the agar plate surface — the collection efficiency is designed to capture the 0.5–5 µm particle range most relevant to airborne microbial contamination in cleanrooms.

Compatible with standard 90 mm agar plates

Accepts standard 90 mm agar contact plates (TSA, CASO or Sabouraud dextrose agar as specified in the site SOP) — avoiding the need for non-standard plate formats and maintaining compatibility with existing pharmaceutical QC microbiology procedures.

ISO 14698-1 and EU GMP Annex 1 monitoring

The 3080 series provides the active air sampling component for EU GMP Annex 1 Section 9 Grade A/B viable particle monitoring — complementing non-viable OPC data from particle counters in the pharmaceutical cleanroom environmental monitoring programme.

Portable — monitoring across multiple cleanroom zones

Battery operation enables portable use across multiple monitoring locations in a sampling campaign — Grade A (filling zone), Grade B (background), Grade C (secondary) and Grade D (passage areas) can all be sampled with one instrument.
