ifm TA Temperature Transmitters

Compact industrial temperature transmitters with an integrated RTD probe, scalable 4–20 mA output and IO-Link. TA is a strong route when the machine needs a robust transmitter rather than a local display or switching interface.

Compact transmitter

TA for a transmitter signal without local display

The TA family integrates probe, electronics and process connection into a compact stainless-steel architecture.

01
Analogue control

Scalable 4–20 mA output

Send process temperature directly to a PLC analogue input while retaining digital setup through IO-Link.

02
Fast response

Low-mass sensing-tip design

The thin-film RTD construction reduces thermal mass for repeatable, fast process response.

03
Compact installation

One-piece transmitter design

Integrated process connections and multiple insertion lengths simplify machine integration.

04
Digital setup

IO-Link parameterisation

Scale the analogue range, access status and commission the transmitter digitally.

Typical industrial use

Temperature measurement for machine fluids and equipment protection

01
Hydraulics

Hydraulic oil temperature

Track fluid temperature to protect pumps, seals and process stability.

02
Cooling

Cooling-water and coolant circuits

Monitor machine cooling performance and detect overheating conditions.

03
General process

Industrial tanks and pipelines

Use an integrated probe/transmitter where a 4–20 mA temperature signal is preferred.

RTD technology

Thin-film RTD construction improves response while keeping the transmitter compact

ifm positions TA around a Pt1000 Class A sensing element and low-mass tip design. The sensor and electronics are matched and factory calibrated to provide a stable transmitter signal.
