System architecture

Keep standard control, safety and information functions correctly separated

Field devices provide machine and process information. Standard control executes the machine sequence, while the safety system evaluates safety functions independently. Selected operational data can then be exposed to supervisory and enterprise systems without placing dashboards or cloud services in the control loop.

Layered automation architecture showing field devices feeding separate standard-control and safety-control paths, with governed industrial connectivity to supervisory information systems
Design principle: safety functions remain in the validated safety chain, and deterministic machine control remains local. OPC UA, MQTT, historians and dashboards receive only the data and authority explicitly assigned to them.
Technology roles

Five focused portfolios, selected by engineering function

Each technology has a distinct role. Primionics defines the interfaces between sensing, control, safety, data integration and process monitoring according to timing, protocol, security and ownership.
