Measurement Scope and Parameter Selection

Environmental measurement covers a wide span of parameters, and instruments differ sharply in what they actually measure. Being specific about the question first is what keeps a survey from producing data that cannot answer it.

Model-Specific Parameter Coverage

No single instrument covers every environmental quantity. A multi-parameter IAQ monitor, a dust monitor, a particle counter, a sound meter and a vibration meter are different instruments answering different questions. The product page states the parameters that model actually measures — and that is the authority, not this overview.
